Nivin Pauly is an Indian film actor who predominantly acts in Malayalam films. He made his debut in Malarvadi Arts Club (2010) directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. His second collaboration with Vineeth Sreenivasan, Thattathin Marayathu[1] (2012) and Rediff named him as one of the reason the film became a "blockbuster."

Nivin was born on Oct 11, 1984 in Aluva a town in Ernakulam district, Kerala. He graduated with a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication from Federal Institute of Science And Technology, Kochi in 2006.

Nivin Pauly married his girlfriend Rinna Joy on 28 August 2010. They have a son named Neil born in June 2012.

Nivin Pauly sent in his photos for movie Malarvadi Arts Club and was not on the shortlist of 12 actors chosen for the film. Of the five friends in the film, only four were finalised and Vineeth Sreenivasan was looking for the fifth when Nivin Pauly went for the audition, and got the role. He had no acting experience before that.

Nivin Pauly was one of the five guys of a group of friends in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s maiden directorial venture, Malarvadi Arts Club. He did roles in films such as The Metro and Sevenes, brief appearances in Traffic and Spanish Masala, and what The Hindu called "a hugely popular" music video titled ‘Nenjodu Cherthu’ from the album Yuvvh  became a hit on youtube. His film Thattathin Marayathu became very successful and a blockbuster. It was 2012`s biggest hit  and is his biggest hit yet. After Thattathin Marayathu he got offers from directors including Sathyan Anthikad, Rajesh Pillai, Aashiq Abu and Shyamaprasad, after Thattathin Marayathu became a hit.

Nivin Pauly is included in AMMA's CCL team . He was included in the playing XI for the last two seasons(2012,2013) of CCL for Kerala Strikers.
