Parineeti Chopra was born on Oct 22, 1988 into a Punjabi family in Ambala, Haryana to parents Pawan Chopra (Father), he is a business man and supplier of the Indian Army & Reena Chopra (Mother). Parineeti Chopra have two younger brothers named Sahaj Chopra & Shivang Chopra. Actress Priyanka Chopra is her cousin (Actress Priyanka Chopra's Late father Ashok Chopra is her father Pawan Chopra's elder brother).

Parineeti Chopra did her schooling at the Convent of Jesus and Mary, in the Ambala Cantonment.

Parineeti Chopra completed her triple honours degree in Business, Finance and Economics in England from Manchester Business School. After studying in England, she returned to India during the 2009 economic crisis and joined Yash Raj Films as a publicist. In 2011, she was signed by Aditya Chopra for a three-films contract with Yash Raj Films and made her screen debut in a supporting role in Maneesh Sharma's Ladies VS Ricky Bahl. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2012, she Later appeared as a lead actress in Habib Faisal's Directional Debut Film Ishaqzaade Which was also produced by Yash Raj Films for which she received critical and commercial success.
