Rakul Preet Singh is an Indian film actress. Rakul Preet Singh was born on October 10, 1990 in Delhi, India to parents father Kulvinder Singh (dad) & mother Rini Singh (Mom). She have an younger brother named Aman Preet Singh.

Rakul Preet Singh did her schooling from Army Public School, Delhi. She has been an active golf player and played nationals. Rakul Preet Singh was a student of Mathematics at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, and had been engaged in modeling for more than two years prior to entering the Miss India contest in 2011. Apart from the Miss India Poll, Rakul won four subtitles at the pageant including Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face, Femina Miss Talented, Femina Miss Beautiful Smile and Femina Miss Beautiful Eyes.

Rakul Preet Singh made her acting debut with the 2009 Kannada film, Gilli, a remake of Selvaraghavan's 7G Rainbow Colony. She won critical acclaim for her role in the film before returning to complete her degree and compete in the Miss India pageant. She returned to movies making Telugu film debut in 2011 featuring opposite debutant Siddharth Rajkumar in Keratam.

In 2012, she made her Tamil film debut in a supporting role in the Tamil film Thadaiyara Thaakka, alongside Arun Vijay and Mamta Mohandas.

Rakul Preet Singh is set to make her Bollywood debut with Divya Khosla Kumar's directorial debut Yaariyaan, to be released in January 2014.
